What have you done in/with your Impreza this week?

Looks fantastic that Kev , what offset are they? Gives it a great stance :thumb
Thanks a lot Pete, these have been machined down from the Group A offset to fit the road car, i'll have to check measurements but they are a 5.25" wide rim and fitment is spot on, they require the longer group N studs to fit which were supplied by Alyn.

love this one, and very tidy car top and bottom.
will you popping down on the 1st?
Cheers Benji, it's really amazing to drive, absolutely love it, there's a few little dings and bits to tidy but its done no miles and it gives my dad a lot of pleasure to keep in the garage so that's the main thing!

Unfortunately I'm away this time for Rade so can't make it, its a great event, would love to have a look at some of the cars going this year.

Thats a shame would of been good to catch up.

i had a look over it last year and really did look the part, loved the 53c underneath too.
looked like how the works cars did it.

Had a spare hour witch turned into 3. So made a start on the backend of the classic. After a shite job or architecture and sills in the past. Stripping it down and bare metal thr entire underneath before handing it over as bare as possible to a actual decent welder fabricator.

Bumper came off no problem few of the captive nuts into the bumper bar needed cut out. Gave under the drivers rear arch a quick flap disc and wire wheel to see where am at..not the worst but still needs bits cut and replaced.

For anyone doing similar. Highly recommended pb blaster rust penetrative stuff. Not cheap but ideal for those seized and rusty bolts. Not stripping anymore rust or paint until got the subframe/tank/suspension etc all off. Lightly coated the exposed bits with deox gel and wipe down as a temp measure. The seam from the apron to the arch is rammed full of rot.inner apron from inside is okay though.

Off rallying up at elgin this weekend so next week ..onto the suspension and subframe.

As its going to be bits and bobs at a time can't stress enough the importance off bagging and tagging bits so know where they go with photos as well.
