    Love how quick they go through the gears,I wonder how much shorter the ratios are in a rally car compared to say a road going RA

    Not much, if any. They still did 200 km/h at 6-7000 RPM in sixth. Remember a recording of a Danish driver in an Escort Cosworth (7 speed). I think he does not move the hand from the gear lever until in fifth, first through fourth is a continuous motion!

    id love to know the proper ratios for a rally car and I suppose a lot of it comes down to the boost levels and low-mid range torque. they go a lot quicker than they should for having around 300bhp, they must have huge torque figures and run a serious amount of boost, plus lighter too I guess
