A good quality 75w90 for 'normal' road use is required, if its more aggressive track / competition then somethng a little more like 75w140 may be needed??

A lot depends on driving style / mods / etc

Thank you for your reply . It is just a regular STI which is only used on road. The bigger question is . Do we need a limited slip oil or the regular type . The reason I ask is that for the German Cars up from 2007 it must be a LS oil .

You must NOT use a limited slip oil in the gearbox, just use a normal GL-5 fluid.

If you use an LSD oil in the gearbox, it will screw up the syncro and DCCD operation.

The rear diff requires an LSD oil on that car as its a plated diff unit.

Yes as John states std gear oil only........

Really not sure why anyone would recommend LSD for a gearbox??
You would only ever consider it if it was a full blown competition 'dog' type box
