Anyone got any advice on fitting a 13 row oil cooler behind the front grille. It is 21 cm long. I want to avoid making holes in the slam panel. Thinking about making a bracket up from the bumper bar...don't mind making holes in that. Interested in what other people have done. I don't want to mount behind the fog lamp either.

Great thank you. Did you make the bracket yourself?

Yes I did out of some 4mm alloy angle that I have at the back of the garage. If I remember on the centre bar of the slam panel there are 2 x 10mm threaded holes the angle is bolted to that then the oilcooler which is a modified spec-c item is bolted through some rubber bobbins into the bracket.

I have made some brackets to fit my Setrab oil cooler behind the grille bolted to the bumper bar. Got some 6mm aluminium angle cut into 4 pieces 25 mm wide and made them up as the pictures below.

This is them bolted to the bumper bar.

And now with the oil cooler in situ.

The next step is to spray the bumper bar in 74f blue and fit an STi sport bumper:thumb

Looks good mate. How did you route the pipe work? Do you ruffly know the lengths of the pipes?

I am thinking about fitting one in same location as yours but a bit stuck on best route for the pipe work as i would want to keep them well away from the exhaust headers.
